Hi y’all! I don’t get a chance to blog that much but when I do I usually have something good to say.

Usually.

I am sure many of you have heard about the new Gypsy handheld device from Provo Craft. Of course it was the big new thing at the recent C.H.A. convention. While at the convention I got a chance to play with it for a while. It’s a really cool machine with a lot of great features for designing and crafting on the go. It has a lot of similarities with the Cricut Design Studio but it also has some new features that make it a very functional and downright amazing.

But you don’t have to take my word for it. While at the convention Provo Craft had a Gypsy Gala that unveiled the machine and many of it’s features. Of course I am never without a camera so I happened to catch it all!

Kaiser Mini Frame Trio

Directions

 For this project I decorated a trio of fun frames with products all from Kaiser Craft. I had never worked with their products before and it was really a pleasure. To prepare the frames- you will need to pop out the center bits and then sand down all the edges. I coated the edges with 2 coats of the acrylic paint .Let the paint dry completely. Then take your sheet of patterned paper and glue it to the frame front, let dry ,and then use an Exacto knife to trim off the excess paper, I found it easier when working on the middles-to cut an “X” shape and trim that out first. Then sand off the edges of the trimmed paper- for a lovely distressed look . I wanted to use my Cricut to dress up my frames some more- I found that due to the smaller size of the frames –that cutting my shapes in the “black out” mode worked best. Adorn frames and die cut shapes with the Kaiser Craft brads and jewels. I tied some ribbon scraps through the backs of the frames for hanging.
