Imaginisce “Wild Things” Layout

Inspiration: My assignment this month was to use the “Wild Things” paper collection by Imaginisce. Like many, I have a thousand Disney pictures that are just waiting to be scrapped. When I saw the “Wild Things” collection by Imaginisce I thought of some beautiful photos that I had of the Kilimonjaro Safari at Disney World.
1) Placed two 12×12 brown cardstocks next to each other .
2) Next I layered different patterns of the Wild Things papers. I even placed some strips of the coordinating “Jungle Vine” ribbons to separate the papers. I found that mixing the patterns in this collection was very easy.
3) Next I matted the photos with white cardstock and placed them on the center of my layout.
4) I then cut a 2 ½” title “Kilimonjaro” from my “Life’s a Beach” cartridge and 1 ½” “Safari” from my “Hello Kitty Font” cartridge. I used the Design Studio to weld this word together. (To get the “blackout effect” behind the word safari, I used the Design Studio “hide selected contour” feature of my same word and then recut).
5) Cut several 1 ½” hibiscus flowers with layers on the Life’s a beach cart and adhered to the corners.
6) Cut one 8” and one 7” inch Flamingo from the Life’s a Beach cartridge and adhered to the left side of the layout.
7) Next I mounted the title to the upper and lower parts of the layout.
Cut a 2 ½” <crctp2-h> with window feature from the “Tags, Bags, Boxes & More” for the journaling tag and adhere journaling with a “Beastie Brads”.
Imaginisce “Wild Things” Door Hanger

Inspiration: My assignment this month was to use the “Wild Things” paper collection by Imaginisce. When I saw the “Wild Things” collection by Imaginisce I thought how it would make an adorable door hanger for my “wild things” room. This could also be used for a birthday party decoration or a layout after the party and just add some photos.
1) First I mounted a piece of the Wild Things patterned paper to a 12×12” piece of chipboard.
2) Next I cut out (2) 12 ½” pieces of “Bamboo” with layers from the Life is a Beach cart and adhere to either side of the door hanger.
3) Then cut out an 8 ½” “Palm Tree” border with layers from the Life is a Beach cart and adhere to the bottom edge of the door hanger.
4) Next I cut out a 2 ½” title “It’s a Jungle” from the Animal Kingdom cart and adhered to the top of the door hanger. This is on the “rhino” key using the “sound” feature.
5) Then I adhered some of the pre-made chipboard animals from the Wild Things collection. You can also make your animals with the Animal Kingdom cart.
6) Lastly, I punched two eyelets through the top corners of the chipboard and threaded my ribbon through so the hanger could hang.
